Understand Your Slavery Footprint

The website linked below provides an interactive way to calculate the role of slave labor in the production of food, electronics, medicines, household products and other items we acquire and consume every day. After completing the survey participants are given a score called a Total Slavery Footprint, which is based on the following calculus:

Your TOTAL SLAVERY FOOTPRINT represents the number of forced laborers that were likely to be involved in creating and manufacturing the products you buy. This is determined based on information regarding the processes used to create these products as well as investigations of the countries in which these stages of production take place for known slave labor (within these specific processes.).

Complete the survey here at slaveryfootprint.org.

Be sure to read the information on the organization’s “methodology” by clicking on the link in the lower left corner of the start page, or the lower right corner of the results page. And please take the time to publicize this site and get involved in the modern abolitionist movement.
