Art student Stephen Hayes created this harrowing interpretation of the transatlantic slave trade. The installation includes fifteen statues with each one representing a million enslaved Africans shipped to the Americas in the cargo holds of slave ships. The video is from a 2010 exhibit of his work at the Mason Murer Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia.
