The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975

This film is set in the era of my “coming of age.” The Black Power Movement defined my identity and provided a “rites of passage” into adulthood that formed and informed my entire life. I’m am looking forward to the release of this film with a mixture of nostalgia, sadness, anger, and hope that the younger generation will learn from it the value and necessity of our struggle for liberation.
